Hendersonville, NC

We went to Hendersonville, NC last weekend to visit my friend Leslie, her husband Neil, and their kids Isabella (3) and Beck (4 months). We arrived on Saturday around noon and after a beautiful walk through their neighborhood (seen in the first several pictures below), we went out for dinner and ice cream. (Jackson got chocolate mint ice cream with sprinkles, but he only wanted to pick out the sprinkles and eat those!) Jackson and Isabella had so much fun playing together! It's so fun and cute that he's now at the age that he interacts and plays with other kids. Sunday morning we went to the Carl Sandburg Home and took a short hike to visit the goats. We had a great time during our trip to NC! Thanks Leslie and Neil!

Another Cute Outfit!

Yes, I need a haircut (but Mommy trimmed the back, so at least I don't have a mullet!)

Like my new outfit? Uncle Scott and Aunt Jessi gave it to me for my birthday...thank you!

My new flip-flops!

In case you're wondering, I'm eating an uncooked spaghetti noodle in this picture!

Jackson wore this adorable new outfit (thanks Jennifer and Johnny!) to church today, and we just had to take some pictures...

Rock Star Day!

Yesterday was Rock Star Day at Jackson's school! He wore his "I want to rock" T-shirt and his new, black motorcycle boots (thank you Aunt Lu-Ann and Uncle Dennis!) with zippers on both sides! He couldn't stop talking about his "rock star boots," and he was showing them to everybody! He also had rock star hair, but with hair just like his mom, it only stayed that way for about 30 minutes. Oh, and he carried his red electric guitar to school with him too. I tried to take some pictures before school, but my dying camera battery didn't allow me to get many good shots. Here are a few just so you get the idea...

Easter in Mobile

We spent Easter weekend at Mimi and Pop's house in Mobile. A lot of family happened to be in town for the weekend, and we had a great time! Cayden (who was born a week and a half before Jackson) stayed with us, and it was so much fun to watch him and Jackson play together! This was the first time they have really interacted with each other, and they were great playmates...too bad we live so far from each other. There are several posts from our weekend in Mobile below, so take a look! We hope you had a Happy Easter...we sure did!

We've Got Talent!

Daddy and Uncle Scott - synchronized juggling!

Grandma Rosie and Jackson playing the piano
(Grandma Rosie is amazing! She can play just about anything by ear. She even played Jackson's favorite song, "Baa, Baa Black Sheep," while he sang along!)

Mommy and Jackson
(not quite as talented as Grandma Rosie, but I did take lessons for a few years!)

Hanging Out on Easter Afternoon

Mimi and Grandma Rosie swinging
(Mimi and Pop got a new swing set!)
Tug and Yoshiya having a stare-down.
(Soon after this, we discovered that Tug had eaten a dirty diaper right before this picture was taken! Sorry, Yosh!)

Happy Birthday, Melissa, Pop, and Yoko!
(and Connie, too, but she was unable to be there)

Papa Ray is pooped!

And we're off...

I got one!

Easter Pics

Here are a few Easter pictures. (Most of us had already changed out of our church clothes, but we left Jackson in his cute little Easter outfit that Grandma Rosie and Papa Ray got him for his birthday!)
