Pumpkins!

We finally had a nice weekend to visit the pumpkin patch! Mimi came to visit this weekend, so she went with us. October has been the month of grandmothers around here. Grandma (Erik's mom) was here last weekend, Mimi came this weekend, and Grandma will be back next weekend to celebrate Halloween with us!

It's Music Time!

Jackson likes to announce when it's "Music Time" so he can lead everyone in a few songs! There are several that require audience participation. Here are a few different pictures from "Music Time"...

When I picked Jackson up from school today, his teacher was talking about what a good arm he has. She said that they had a bean bag toss contest today. It started with two kids who threw the bean bags and whoever threw it the farthest would move on to the next round. Jackson was one of the first kids to start the game, and he made it all the way to the end and won! She said he could throw it farther than anyone in the class!

Baby Bronx is Finally Here!

My new cousin, Bronx Walker Duval, was born today at 1:11 p.m. He weighed in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 21.5 inches long. Welcome to the family and to the world, Bronx! And congratulations, Uncle Scott and Aunt Jessi! We'll post some pictures when we get some.

First Guitar Injury

I don't know if you can tell from this picture, but Jackson got a huge blister on his thumb from strumming his guitar. We bought him two picks a couple of weeks ago, but they have since disappeared. I think we'll have to purchase some more. (Oh, and please excuse the messy face in this picture!)

Jackson and Cayden

Yoshiya, Yoko, and Cayden came to visit us this weekend! Cayden and Jack-a-son (as Cayden calls him) had so much fun playing together...they were hilarious! And we had a great time visiting with Yoshiya and Yoko. We wish they lived in the same town so we could see them more often.

Our Little Musician

After Jackson played Marlee's guitar (and LOVED it) at her birthday party (see post below), we went straight to Target and bought him one. He has always loved music, and we have been thinking about getting him into some music classes. But we didn't realize how much of an entertainer he was until he played and sang for everybody at the party!

After Scott and Jessi's night of babysitting, we went to breakfast and then took Jackson to a newly renovated park near our house. I'm not sure who had more fun...Jackson or the adults!

Go Braves!

Uncle Scott and Aunt Jessi babysat Jackson last weekend (thank you!) while we went to a concert, and they took him to a Gwinnett Braves game. He must have learned a lot while he was with them because the next day he knew all about cell phone towers and what do to at a yellow light. Now he points out every tower and says, "The towers make the phones work!" We never even noticed them before, but now we know where all of them are!

We took Jackson to an Atlanta Braves game a few weeks ago. Jackson loves baseball, but there was a free concert afterwards, and I think he loved that even more! When we left the game, we asked him what he saw at the game and the only things he said were "drums, guitar, and microphone!"

4th of July

We came back from Mobile to celebrate the 4th of July with Daddy! It was a beautiful day, so we grilled out and played outside with my new sprinkler...then we went to watch the fireworks! (They were a little scary at first, but once I got used to the loud noises, I had a lot of fun!)
