Go Braves!

Uncle Scott and Aunt Jessi babysat Jackson last weekend (thank you!) while we went to a concert, and they took him to a Gwinnett Braves game. He must have learned a lot while he was with them because the next day he knew all about cell phone towers and what do to at a yellow light. Now he points out every tower and says, "The towers make the phones work!" We never even noticed them before, but now we know where all of them are!

We took Jackson to an Atlanta Braves game a few weeks ago. Jackson loves baseball, but there was a free concert afterwards, and I think he loved that even more! When we left the game, we asked him what he saw at the game and the only things he said were "drums, guitar, and microphone!"

4th of July

We came back from Mobile to celebrate the 4th of July with Daddy! It was a beautiful day, so we grilled out and played outside with my new sprinkler...then we went to watch the fireworks! (They were a little scary at first, but once I got used to the loud noises, I had a lot of fun!)

Vacation in Mobile, Alabama

Jackson and Mommy went on a much-needed vacation last week to visit family in Mobile! Unfortunately, Daddy had to stay in Atlanta to work, but I'm sure he didn't mind the peace and quiet too much! Below are some highlights from our trip...

What a Fisherman!

Little Drummer Boy

Shower for Baby Bronx!

We had a family cookout/baby shower for Baby Bronx (Uncle Scott and Aunt Jessi's baby).

We Got to See Lots of Friends...

We saw Mommy's friend, Laurie, and her cute little girls, Kathleen and Mia.

We also went to Preston's house! He always has the coolest toys! We played with the slip n' slide, the sand box, the swing set, the bubbles, the pool with the slide, the lawn mower...

Nancy and Baby Thomas (Preston's Mommy and Little Brother)

The Beach!

Mommy and Mimi took me to the beach! I loved playing in the sand, but I wasn't a big fan of the water!

And Mommy even got to go to the beach with Cassie, Daniel, Uncle Scott, and Aunt Jessi while I stayed in Mobile and played with Mimi and Pop!

Here Are a Few of My Favorite Things...

The "fishing hose" (by the end of the week, he finally called it the "fishing pole!")
My new microphone

Playing the "drums" (thanks to Uncle Scott)
(Hey, bowling pins and a cooler make an excellent drum set!)

Hendersonville, NC

We went to Hendersonville, NC last weekend to visit my friend Leslie, her husband Neil, and their kids Isabella (3) and Beck (4 months). We arrived on Saturday around noon and after a beautiful walk through their neighborhood (seen in the first several pictures below), we went out for dinner and ice cream. (Jackson got chocolate mint ice cream with sprinkles, but he only wanted to pick out the sprinkles and eat those!) Jackson and Isabella had so much fun playing together! It's so fun and cute that he's now at the age that he interacts and plays with other kids. Sunday morning we went to the Carl Sandburg Home and took a short hike to visit the goats. We had a great time during our trip to NC! Thanks Leslie and Neil!
